AC Grayhawk was founded in 2015 by Agustin Carcoba, a divisional CEO of several GE Capital businesses (bio below). Agustin and his team have engaged in over 20 projects focused on financial services, leasing, debt refinancing, capital raising, real estate, and consumer finance. His focus is advisory and/or co-investing with portfolio companies of private equity and prominent family offices.

As the Managing Partner, Agustin focuses on financial and organizational development, strategic positioning, and implementation.

He is currently the Chairman of Mi Nave and a board member of Voyager Global Mobility (VGM), a leading company in the platform application mobility providers. VGM is an important pillar for Uber, Lyft, and Didi's driver fulfillment. In his role, Agustin is critical to establishing and/or improving Mi Nave's Mexico strategy, staffing, capital markets and debt-raising capabilities, and operational focus points. He works very closely with both management and main shareholders.

Agustin is also a board member of Engen Capital, Mexico's largest and most profitable independent commercial finance solutions provider.

Capital Insights

AC Grayhawk pursues advisory and active co-investment opportunities with clients who seek an active role in growing or turning around a business in the aforementioned industries. AC Grayhawk is not a passive equity investor. In all advisory and/or co-investment opportunities, Agustin Carcoba plays an integral role in shaping company strategy or specific financial deliverables.

Financial Services

Some of AC Grayhawk's Main Advisory Engagements Include:

  • Acquisition integration and growth projects for Global Jet Capital, a Carlyle, AE Industrial Partners, and KKR-owned company. GJC is the largest global independent finance company in corporate aviation.
  • Support on Blackcreek incursion evaluation of Mexico mid-market finance.
  • Acquisition valuation of a large-scale leasing company for a prominent Mexican family office.
  • Advisory to Popeyes, a former public company, in franchise expansion in Mexico.
  • Lead independent board member of E Factor Network, a leading e-factoring fintech company. Establishment of key corporate governance structures
  • Along with the Chairman and CEO, established the corporate governance foundations of ION Financiera, a leading Mexican mortgage finance company. He was also a member of the executive and audit committees.
  • Debt restructuring/refinancing for prominent US QSR franchisees, with average transaction sizes of $25mm.

Agustin Carcoba

Agustin Carcoba is an accomplished executive and board member with more than 25 years of progressive experience leading sizeable P&Ls and business operations in the US and Latin America. He is proficient at building organizations and executing various types of transactions in commercial lending/leasing, asset-backed finance, real estate, and specialty finance. He is a seasoned investor, advisor, and board member in the financial services and real estate sector.

Agustin is the President & Managing Partner for AC Grayhawk Capital Insights LLC, where he consults with private equity (which he also co-invests with), family offices, and corporate clientele in developing and implementing business strategy, M&A, growth/development, restructurings, and operational effectiveness initiatives focused mainly on financial services and the real estate sector.

Prior to AC Grayhawk, over a period of 20+ years, Agustin built a successful career at GE Capital, progressing to international senior leadership roles focused on commercial financing, leasing, and RE. From 2010-2014, he served as President and CEO of GE Capital Franchise Finance (GEFF). GEFF had over $12B in loans and real estate assets across the US, Europe, and Lat Am, $400M in net income/yr, and 400+ professionals. From 2004 – 2010, he was President of GE Capital Latin America. GE Capital Latin America was the region's largest independent leasing, factoring, and real estate finance company with $4Bn in Assets and $100mm in Income/yr. He was recognized several times by GE's Global Leaderships, including once by Jeff Immelt.

Prior to these roles, he held operating leadership positions of increasing responsibility in general management, sales, and risk and operations in GE Capital Puerto Rico, GE Equity, and GE Capital Leasing. Early in his career, he started de-novo GE Capital in Mexico and is recognized as one of the leading experts in leasing and factoring in Mexico.


Since 2004, Agustin also served in Board Director Roles for international finance and operating companies, as well as not-for-profit organizations. He is currently a board member of Engen, Mexico's largest independent leasing company, and VGM, a leading international mobility company. Other previous boards included GE JVs in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Central America. Not-for-profit Board roles included director and Finance Committee member for Junior Achievement USA, 2012 – 2015.

Agustin holds an MBA from IPADE and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Tecnológico de Monterrey (Monterrey Tec - ITESM), Mexico. He is a citizen of the US and Mexico.
